To read:
I’m currently reading Broken Country by Claire Leslie Hall and am totally gripped. It’s a love story with the pace of a thriller and I’m so invested in the romance, the characters and the outcome of the trial. On my kindle is Enchantra by Kaylie Smith, the sequel to Phantasma which I loved! I also have the hardback of The Favourites by Layne Fargo on my shelf, I couldn’t resist the beautiful cover and purple sprayed edges!

To Watch:
I want to sit down and watch Adolescence. I’m prepared for this to be a tough watch but think it’s really important to engage in the conversation around teens and the impact of social media use. I’m also looking forward to The Diamond Heist on Netflix for some behind-the-scenes insights to this story of epic theft. I’m loving the gritty Mobland on Paramount+ - Tom Hardy directed by Guy Ritchie is the perfect combination!

To Listen:
I recently listened to The Silence In Between which is a beautifully told, heartbreaking historical novel, set in Berlin in 1963 when a mother finds herself on one side of the wall and her baby on the other. For my May Audible credit, I’ll be listening to Natalie Cooper’s new Audible Original romance – news on this one and the amazing narrator is coming very soon!

To Read:
I’m delighted to be part of the judging panel for this year’s RNA Joan Hessayon Award, so I am currently reading the finalist manuscripts for this and really enjoying although I can’t give details! Next on my list fiction-wise is Piglet by Lottie Hazell, which I am drawn to as much by the cover as by the pitch, I have to admit! And I am really enjoying the Mel Robbins podcast at the moment (as is most of the UK) so I’m keen to read her book, The Let Them Theory.

To Watch:
I’m in a bit of a rut with tv/film at the moment – too many good books to read! I’ve got The Six Triple Eight on my watchlist as its been compared with one of my authors’ books, publishing next year. I completely binged The Day of the Jackal last month: it was so well-made, and totally addictive.

To Listen:
As I mentioned above, I’ve been enjoying listening to the Mel Robbins podcast which I’m finding so grounding and useful. Outside of this, I’m currently expecting my first baby and so am all over the baby books and find it much easier to listen to these whilst out and about than to sit and read. Emily Oster’s Expecting Better is a data-driven approach to pregnancy which has been a really reassuring listen in amongst all of the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of pregnancy. I’m also looking forward to listening to Lucy Jone’s Matrescence, which has been highly recommended to me.
