Saoirse Morrigan

Saoirse Morrigan is an Irish author of grown-up fairy tales inspired by the myths and folklore she grew up with. When she isn’t writing romance or romantasy books, she’s probably reading one – the swoonier the better.

Saoirse served on the Board of Directors of the Romantic Novelists’ Association from 2023-2026. She was one of the awardees of the IWC 2025 Cill Rialaig Residencies, and it was there, on the Wild Atlantic Way – the edge of the world – where she drafted much of her debut.

She lives in Ireland with her husband and three young children. Passionate about Irish language preservation, she is in awe of her bilingual children and wishes her own Irish was better. She still can’t quite believe she gets to daydream professionally about falling in love in fantastical worlds.

Her debut novel, Ballad of the Banshees, will be published by Tor Bramble UK. It is the first book of the spicy romantasy Desire and Death Song series.
