L M Rees writes historical fiction with elements of folk horror and the supernatural. She has an MA in Creative Writing with distinction and a PhD in ethnomusicology, and has written an academic book on Mongolian film music. Her short stories have been published widely and she has been longlisted for the Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize and the Exeter Novel Prize. As a history and folklore enthusiast, writing historical fiction is the closest she’ll get to living in the eras and environments she loves.
