Jon Lomberg was the Design Director for NASA’s Voyager Golden Records in 1977, drawing the iconic Record cover and creating the pictorial image of Earth and humanity the Record contains. He is the co-author with Carl Sagan of the book Murmurs of Earth about that project.

Lomberg was the Emmy Award winning Chief Artist for Carl Sagan's COSMOS TV series and the creator of 4 NASA message artifacts now on Mars. He has many awards including having an asteroid officially named after him. He is co-author of the recently published THE GRAND COSMIC STORY and has written scientific papers about SETI. He lives in Kona Hawaii.
